Marlou van de Braak advises on intellectual property matters, with a focus on trademarks and designs. Marlou has extensive experience in providing strategic international IP advice, acting in European opposition, cancellation and revocation proceedings and drafting and negotiating IP-related settlement, license and transfer agreements. She is also a WIPO mediator.
Marlou was an IP litigation and IP transaction lawyer for 17 years at renowned international law firms De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Hoyng Rokh Monegier respectively. Until she joined Novagraaf in 2017, she was the Head Legal of the Dutch Media Authority. Marlou graduated with a credit from the postgraduate course on International Trademark Law at the Grotius Academy.
Marlou is a regular speaker at international intellectual property conferences. She has also lectured trademark law at the Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Attorneys training institute for 10 years, from 2004-2014.
