A Trademark Attorney, Marion Pignot focuses on both the creation of and adding value to IP rights (filing, portfolio evaluation, contracts) and in defending them (formal notice, opposition, confiscation, pre-litigation procedures, negotiations, administrative disputes, counterfeiting). Marion specialises, in particular, in the areas of viticulture and winemaking.
Marion holds a Masters degree in the Wine Law and a Certificate in Intellectual Property from the Université Montesquieu Bordeaux IV. She is also a graduate of CEIPI (International Studies Centre in Intellectual Property, Strasbourg). She has been an IP consultant (trademarks and designs) and a Trademark Attorney at the EUIPO since 2012.
Marion started her career in the legal department of a spirits company in 2008, prior to joining an American IP attorney office. After gaining experience at an IP office in Bordeaux, Marion joined Novagraaf in Bordeaux, where she has led its office since 2012.
Marion is a member of the IWLA (International Wine Law Association).
