Sophie Visscher

Sophie studied Law at Leiden University and specialised in intellectual property law through the Master’s programme in Internet, ICT and Intellectual Property Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Career history

During her studies, Sophie completed internships at several well-established intellectual property law firms. She has been working at Novagraaf since 2025, where she advises corporate and globally active clients. In 2026, Sophie commenced the Benelux Trademarks and Designs Attorneys’ professional training programme (BBMM).

Work highlights

Sophie’s work includes conducting trademark availability searches, advising on the registrability of trademarks, handling opposition proceedings, initiating and defending invalidity actions, developing filing strategies, managing online infringement and domain name disputes, supporting dispute resolution, and drafting coexistence agreements.
