Thomsen Trampedach acquired by Novagraaf, a NovumIP company

Amsterdam/Zurich/Copenhagen, 4 January 2021 – NovumIP extended its reach into the Legal Tech space after Novagraaf, a NovumIP company, completed its acquisition of Thomsen Trampedach GmbH from Key-Systems GmbH and the founding partners. The acquisition became effective on 22 December 2020.

Thomsen Trampedach has well-established technical expertise in online brand protection and anti-counterfeiting services, as well as the setup of new gTLDs and domain name portfolio management. Its acquisition by Novagraaf, a NovumIP company, is the IP service provider’s latest step towards a more complete integration of technology and legal consultancy.

The clients of both companies can now look forward to seamless end-to-end legal and advisory services both online and offline that address every link in the IP value chain.

We at Novagraaf are firmly committed to meeting our clients’ IP needs as they navigate a fast-growing global online environment that provides both opportunities and threats”, affirms Lutgarde Liezenberg, CEO of Novagraaf. “Today’s brand owners have to battle an increasingly sophisticated army of counterfeiters and online fraudsters. By combining the technology, enforcement knowledge and legal consultancy of both Novagraaf and Thomsen Trampedach we are now even better positioned to provide smart solutions that protect and maximise the value of our clients’ brand, product name and domain assets. We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues at Thomsen Trampedach and look forward to further building our position in the essential space of Legal Tech services.”

Thomsen Trampedach will continue its long-standing partnership with BrandShelter, Europe's leading domain name provider to IP and trademark specialists. As an extension of this, Novagraaf will also become a reseller of BrandShelter's domain name management services.

Thomsen Trampedach partner Jannik Skou will join Novagraaf as Managing Director of Thomsen Trampedach and member of the management team of the trademarks line of business. Jannik brings entrepreneurship, vast experience in product development and a proven track record of business development in Legal Tech services to Novagraaf.

We are thrilled to join Novagraaf, which will enable us to not only broaden our product portfolio in the area of legal advice and IP portfolio management, but also to leverage on Novagraaf’s global presence providing 24/7 services to our clients across continents”, Skou adds. “Novagraaf and Thomsen Trampedach are a good cultural fit and I very much look forward to combining our services and our shared passion for protecting and promoting brands online and offline.”
