Claire Jones is a UK Chartered Trademark Attorney with more than five years' experience in trademark law. She focuses predominantly on trademark prosecution, trademark filing strategies and portfolio management, as well as the resolution of national and international trademark disputes. Claire specialises, in particular, on the protection and enforcement of trademarks for both national and international clients in a wide range of industries, including the automotive, confectionery, cosmetics, food and drink, and fashion sectors.
Claire is a Law and Psychology graduate from the University of Kent at Canterbury and has also completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. Prior to joining Novagraaf, Claire began her career working on the global portfolios of a luxury sports car manufacturer, a leading food manufacturer and a high street bank.
Claire has enabled companies to overturn objections in order to register slogans at the UK IP Office by showing evidence of acquired distinctiveness.
Claire has assisted litigators on a high-profile dispute about the registration of a colour trademark in the confectionery sector.
