Matthijs Mous

Matthijs Mous joined Novagraaf in 2025 as a Junior Associate. He advises clients on intellectual property matters, working with both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and globally operating companies.

Career history

Matthijs studied Law at the University of Amsterdam and subsequently specialised in intellectual property law by completing the Master’s degree in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies, he undertook several internships at leading law firms. In addition, while completing his Master’s degree, Matthijs volunteered at the Clinic Law Incubator, a legal clinic specialising in intellectual property and information law.

Work highlights

Matthijs is involved on a daily basis in advising on the availability and registrability of trademarks, conducting trademark searches, developing filing strategies, negotiating in infringement matters, conducting and advising on opposition proceedings, drafting co-existence agreements, and managing intellectual property portfolios.
