Career history
Melis holds a master’s degree in law from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
Before joining Novagraaf in 2025, she acquired valuable experience working as a lawyer at the Brussels Bar in the fields of intellectual property law, commercial law, and food law.
Work highlights
Given her experience, Melis provides clients strategic advice for filing, optimization as well as protection of clients’ IP rights, taking into account practical consequences that could arise if files were to be involved in court proceedings.
The different areas of law she has worked in, provide her competences in IP but also for questions related to IP, namely advertisement, packaging, B2B and B2C contracts, … She also has particular experience in the food regulatory field, which can be useful in IP matters of clients active in that sector.
