As an IP Strategy & Business Intelligence Consultant and Chemistry Team Leader, Nicolas Nowak supports companies and academic institutions in the research and analysis of new technologies and innovations related to the broader field of chemistry, primarily through patent searches and scientific publications.
Career history
After a Master's degree in analytical chemistry, specialising in inorganic chemistry, Nicolas completed a CIFRE PhD in materials chemistry at the ICMCB in Bordeaux.
He then spent two years as an innovation project manager at the University of Bordeaux before joining Johnson Matthey's Technology Centre in Reading, England, as a researcher. There, he led projects on various products for consumer applications, work that resulted in several patents.
Upon returning to France, he supported innovation within several organisations in Amiens and Grenoble, before joining Questel Consulting in September 2022 and then Novagraaf in 2026.
