Alastair Rawlence is a UK Chartered Trademark Attorney, a European Trademark Attorney and Barrister (non-practising) with more than 20 years’ experience in IP. Based in Novagraaf’s Manchester office, he is widely acknowledged as one of the leading practitioners in the North West of England.
Alastair has extensive knowledge and experience within the field of IP, and focuses predominantly on contentious matters and the resolution of national and international IP disputes. He specialises, in particular, on IP enforcement in the fashion, entertainment, IT, beverages and pharmaceutical sectors.
Alastair is a Law Graduate from Liverpool University and was called to the Inner Temple in 1985. Prior to entering IP practice, he held senior positions in the advertising and international marketing sectors.
Alastair manages brand enforcement and anti-counterfeiting campaigns for a number of leading fashion brands.
He represents and advises the world’s leading tattoo artist on copyright and IP issues connected with tattoos, particularly those adorning celebrities.
He advises clients on IP issues relating to international licensing agreements.
Alastair was also a key adviser on branding issues relating to the famous Hacienda club in Manchester.
Alastair is a member of CITMA, INTA, PTMG and the Inner Temple.
